Interview Friday, References called Monday, Job Offer Tuesday...

The offer is nice, the stock is nice, but they have the HMO blue... right now I've got a PPO. Its the only thing holding me back from taking the job and finally moving to the city I want to live in.

Frustrating people. Frustrating. How to make decisions like this?

you are going to a new city - your existing PPO will probably be worthless.

Don't get sick, problem solved. 🙂

I had an HMO for years with no co-pay and no deductible, when they switched to a PPO and I had to start paying for doctor's visits it began sucking incredibly. IMHO, the hassle of getting a referral from your PCP isn't that big of a deal if your co-pay is low. You need to post more of the details of your current vs potential plans (bi-weekly payments, deductible, co-pay, etc) to really evaluate everything. Unless they're drastically worse I would do it.

The health care plan isn't the only thing keeping you from moving. If you move, you won't be able to start anymore threads about it.
