Interracial marriages

Whats your opinion on these? Would you ever get into one? Are you from one? I used to think it would never work for me, but now I'm realizing I'm more Americanized than I once thought.

I find it okay, but I don't like the looks of a few races. All the others are okay, but some just turn me off.

I think interracial marriages, like most marriages, can be great or be terrible. It depends on the two individuals involved.

I'm Indian and my sister married a black guy... I'm currently dating a white girl and my mom doesn't really seem to have any problems with it. As long as we're happy she says

My aunt is white, my uncle is cambodian.

Save for the "beautiful ray of sunshine" comments (people think he is mexican), they have no problems.

Who cares what colour the person you love happens to be. My Mother is from an interracial marriage (Mother German, Father Hispanic) and it never made a difference.

Where you can run into problems is culturally since traditions/attitudes can be very different. Then again, even those can be overcome if you care enough.

I am in one, although it never really dawned on me that I was until I started dealing with the fallout from my racist inlaws.

I'm Hispanic (and ultimately a mix of white, black, and Asian) and my husband is white.

The worst part of it is being looked down on by people you have to share meals with.

I'm currently in a relationship now with a Guyanese girl who's rather dark. (She's not very "Indian" though, more of a "white" girl than anything ) My parents were a little sketched out about it at first, but they see that I'm happy with her and don't have a problem with it.

I dunno if it's just the black hair or what since I was never one for blondes, but she's an awesome girl, and most definitely a hottie...pics soon!

I am in one. My wife is Asian and I am white. Hardest thing to get used to is as Isla said, being looked down on by people you spend a lot of time with, the in-laws. I will never be good enough for them, but my wife and I are deliriously happy. The best thing I ever did was to just start laughing in their faces at whatever they said to me or about me behind my back. I guess it took away all their fun

I am not in an interracial marraige.. but i am in an inter-racial dating relationship..

Vanessa is mexican, I am Indian. We know if we get married we will be the best for each other.. marriage is 6 years from now if we stay that long.

I know people in interracial relationships / marriage. My aunt is british, my uncle is indian. My mom and dad are from two differnet parts of india, and within india they dont like to have marriages between regions.. and yet they are happily married for all these years.
