How would you interpret a 3DMark 11 Performance preset score? For instance from what number to what number would fall in the low-end, low medium, medium, high medium, high end gaming machine?

I get a score of P7062 with an OC'd HD 7850 and OC'd i5-3450. Where would that fall? Medium range or high medium range gaming machine?

I don't know what scores would be considered high or medium, but with your score of 7000 I think you should be able to play most games at high settings (1080p or less), which seems like a good system to me. However, I think the top score is ~33,000 in the 3dmark11 hall of fame.

fwiw I have a couple of 3dmark11 scores of my system (i5-760, hd7950).

I can play Crysis 1, Crysis 2, and BF3 on the highest detail settings and get playable frame rates that don't drop below 35 even in the most intense battles. I should be able to run ALL games out now on the second to highest preset at 1080p. Don't you think?

3DMark scores are just a number, they're pretty meaningless in the grand scheme of things. If you're happy with the actual gaming performance of your machine, you have nothing to worry about.
