So far this is what I have:

As a motivated student of Biology and Biotechnology at WPI, with a high GPA to show for it, I will contribute and learn from any position related to biochemistry or biology. I am ambitious and a critical thinker. Though none of this matters much without experience. I previously worked as a protein sciences intern for BlueSky Biotech developing western blots and running some purification columns. In this experience I learned what it meant to be part of a team, relying on each other and striving for a unified goal. I will be a valuable member to your team.

I guess I don't really know how to sell myself because I don't what I can write besides what the potential employers know from my resume. I can't talk about experience because it's listed on the resume, I guess I can talk about what I learned. Can you guys help me a little?

You basically stated you want any job in your paragraph, you should cater it to that which you apply directly so they get more of a feeling that you want THAT job and not ANY job.

I love these canned responses. "I will work hard to ensure the company succeeds!"

Don't worry, we're all guilty of this.

pick a position or two
don't say obvious statements like "though none of this matters much without experience" <-is this even a sentence?

1. i want to apply for this position
2. education - list some classes, subjects
3. work experience - what did you do
4. throw in a letter of recommendation from co worker, boss, professor
5. wait for the call
