Hey everyone,
So I recently finished building my rig, apart from a few small quirks it's working fine. My biggest issue right now is the net connection though. I'm plugging it into a wireless router that we use for laptops here (but this rig is directlly plugged in via CAT6). After a few hours of problem solving the internet started to work finally, but now the problem is that whenever I download files, they are corrupt every single time. It blows my mind, because even playing an RTS online for example works, but I can't download files or autopatch etc.
Has anyone ever heard of this problem or know what I can do about it?
Extra info if it helps:
The wireless router is connected to a box that converts the cable connection into an ethernet jack which in turn is connected to the wireless router... But when we download on the laptops everything works properly, so it seems like there's probably something wrong with the integrated network jack on my motherboard, right? Or is it the software firewall I have on?
Motherboard: ASUS A8N-SLI Deluxe
Antivirus: McAfee
OS: XP SP2
If you need any more info please ask. Thank you very much for your time, should you find your way to this post and can help me out.
