Internet trouble

For some reason all of a sudden I can only browse certain sites, about half the ones I try don't work. I get the "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" message. I tried an ad-aware scan, a system restore, turning off windows firewall. Still have the problem. Any suggestions?

Do you have a network site blocker (If that is what they are called) by any chance, my little bro had one in his school which didn't let you go on any games or inapropreate(I probibly spelt that wrong) websites. I know many offices use this too.

You ISP may simply be expiriencing issues. How long has this been going on for?

just today

Call your ISP and ask if they are expiriencing any difficulties in your area.

If they are not, try:

start -> run -> cmd

command prompt type ipconfig /flushdns then reboot. Your problems could also be casued by malware. run ad-aware, and spybot s&d. Install firefox if you dont have it and see if you can navigate to the sites youre having trouble with.

cheers.

Never heard of "prin." Anyway - something may have changed you security settings. Open Tools, Internet Options, and Security, and lower the scale - see if that makes a difference. Also, if you have a firewall, turn it off temporarily as well.
