The guy was a fake suicide candidate using this to lure victims. Those suicide web sites strike me as really strange but Japan has its share of weirdness for us Gaijins. Kangaete-mite!

He wasn't drawning attention to himself. He was linking a news coverage about something completely unrelated. Sure, it was about deaths, but geared towards suicides, not a "fake" internet murder.

And the 2001 thing I'm referring to is the scandal or whatever he pulled off.

I'm pretty sure this story would have been posted by someone else anyway and the link to what I did rehashed also. Part of moving on means trying not to be afraid of the past but learning from it to avoid repeating the same mistakes.
