Internet speeds tests. Need one that not capped.

I wantedto see if my comcast line was upgraded yet but all sites show 1500-1550 KBps
Now i used an ftp over the net someone told me to try and dl from and i got 400-420KBps
Did i get upgraded to 3mb/sec

another site you might consider Toast. when you select a site, just choose a free one. The common one for me is "toast.net CA", just select "text" for the basic test. This seems comparible to speakeasy, but gives you another option.

most likely his browser loaded the test file from cache instead of the remote server
