Internet solutions from a rural location

I live in rural missouri far far away from any DSL station and there isnt even cable ran down my road. What other options do I have for higher speed internet connections? I currently have a 56k modem.

What about satellite. It's not perfect but is better if that's what you're after.

Wireless (radio), 2way satellite, dual 56K modem (your ISP must support and takes 2 phone lines).

dual 56k modem done with Multilink PPP. Search for Multilink PPP in your favourite search engine.

Starband, baby!!!!! www.starband.com At least that's what I want! It's a little pricey, but oh well. Speeds are supposed to be around 400k to 1 or 2 mbits. Woo Hoo!

Yes, but satellite is supposed to have over a second of lag.
Gotta be horible for games.
