Hello all

At the moment I have a hardware firewall on my wireless router and Norton Internet Security 2003.

I will be reformatting my main computer and don?t want Norton to slow my computer down as it does now.

Relevant Specs:
AOpen XC18 XCube
AMD 2500+ Mobile 1.8Ghz
1Gb Memory
80Gb Seagate Hard Drive

My plan at the moment is to use the hardware firewall on the router and Windows Firewall in XP SP2.

I have been using AVG Free Edition AntiVirus for a year or two and am pleased with it, but I do have a copy of McAfee VirusScan Enterprise v8.0i and would also like to use it in conjunction with AVG. Is this possible or should I use McAfee on its own?

My main concern is the possibility of getting infected with keyloggers, sypware or the similar. I do use Firefox exclusively so does Firefox protect against this? If not should I purchase a copy of Ad Aware Proffessional or just stay with the free edition?

I hope I have included all the information needed.

Use a limited account when you surf the web. That will subvert the majority of spyware and virus infections, many of which rely on exploiting a user's administrator privileges.
