Yes, it is easily refuted but it still makes a most excellent rumor.


Rumor two:
One can get high huffing the "air" out of Nike Airs.

The "air" is sulfur hexafluoride, used because it is a big fat inert molecule that diffuses out of the air chambers more slowly than air would. I have a dream of kids trashing their hundred dollar sneakers in pursuit of a quick high.

Add rumors you'd like to spread. They should be original and plausible sounding.

The first part is true enough but combining it with the second part is difficult. If the building is tall enough to allow one to experience low gravity then there probably isn't sufficient air to flap in. Worth trying though. I wonder if it would work on a planet with a heavier atmosphere like Venus or on a gas giant?

That's the most retarded thing I've read today. What actually happens on tall buildings is that because of the way air is funneled between buildings, it's actually the updraft that keeps you from falling. Of course, if there's only one building, this won't work; you need to use a building in a central area where there are a lot of buildings of roughly the same height (give or take 5 stories.) Also note: this is only possible on one side of the building, when the wind is lined up within 5 degrees or so of perpendicular to that side of the building.
