I'm used to listening to Launch! on yahoo's thing, but my employer has that site blocked! :frown:

Are there any other good places to get streaming music?

The RIAA et al destroyed most if not all of the college radio stations.

WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Duke University's on-line station is back! Dunno for how long. College radio (hit and miss) using RealAudio:
WXDU 88.7 FM (Durham, NC)

and North Carolina Central University's Jazz stream (using Winamp):
WNCU 90.7 FM ShoutCast link

and Chapel Hill's college radio station, WXYC:
16K realaudio link and G2 link

hope you find something!
WTUL, Tulane's radio station is still online as well. Good progressive station.

radiohifi.com is my latest fave. Great if you like oldies but they have everything. Listening now to the 50s and the Joe Houston orchestra.

I stream shoutcast 40 hours a week at work, 128kb stream.... I wonder how much bandwidth that has wasted? 😉

PS -- Winamp has proxy settings. Do you have to authenticate to get to the Internet? If so, I can probably help you get past that with Winamp - it's what I have to do and it works great.

One stream at 128kbit run for 24 hours will take about 1.4 GIGs I believe 🙂

Im not big on rock, so i cant say if this is a good station, but give it a try, Radio Storm 🙂
