Internet Provider Switching

Apparently my college's internet is split between two providers and they switch back and forth at least hourly. Obviously this makes internet gaming impossible as it interrupts my connection whenever it changes. What can I do about it?

not a darn thing you can do about it. You have absolutely no control over the universities routing.

I wander if setting up a proxy/remote intermediate system can help (just brain storming, don?t know if anything like that exist), something like the-cloak.com for browsing only for other uses, though it would probably kill ping performances.
