I've been hearing a lot about Free Internet Phones... or the ones that requires fee like DialPad.com or Net2Phone.com.

I also recently heard about Skype - Has anybody experience with it? Said it's created by the people who created Kazaa - was wondering if there's spyware?

Any thoughts?

I don't think Skype has any spyware. Just make sure you aren't running Skype when you aren't using it and you won't have any problems w. excessive bandwidth consumption. By far the best internet 'phone' system i've ever used. Extremely clear

Well, on their site there's a big pic that says No Spyware... but just install it and run all the spyware detector you know, and see what it picks up.

Anyways, is this just for PC to PC, or is it PC to Phone?

Right now it's only PC to PC, but in the future they say they will add PC to Phone ability (though it's highly unlikely that will be free)

try gphone.
All you need is a microphone, speaker, the other person's IP address.
works with broadband, wouldn't bother with dialup
