Anyone here ever use one of those services? A guy I work with was asking me about Net2Phone, and it started making me wonder how they work and what not...

 
I used to use DialPad back in the day; voice quality was marginal and there was significant delay.

However it's come a long way since then. Vonage I hear is very good and well worth the money, and I stopped by an office in my building to check out their Cisco VoIP setup and it was VERY nice.
 
Used to use dialpad to call relatives in korea. This was over my broadband connection, was pretty good to my surprise. but dialpad aint free anymore
