Internet out of Video Cards?

In my search for a 6800 ultra or an x800 xt i have discovered something very peculure. No matter where i look every online retailer seems to be out of these cards. I did see a refurbished powercolor x800 at Newegg, but thats not for me. Has any one else noticed this? to quote Mr. Mugato from Zoolander, "I FEEL LIKE IM TAKING CRAZY PILLS HERE." I have been looking for an Asus card with one of these gpus but at this point i cant seem to find any brands in stock. How can it be that in the never ending digital vastness known as the net, there are no graphics cards in stock? This seems absurd, perhaps im just not searching in the right places. I suppose some of the sales could be linked with the release of Half Life 2, but still the sheer volume of cards that must have been bought for this to occure is unfathomable. So I come to you, the good people of anandtech, a broken man; a former shell of the radical net surfing god that I once was. I have waited weeks for newegg, or anyone for that matter to get an Asus 6800 Ultra in stock, but to no avail. The expected arival date has come and gone more times than I can remember, and my inqueries to Newegg go unanswerd. Can any one out there find any x800 xt's (perferably Asus or Ati) or 6800 Ultras (preferably Asus or BFG). Any assistance in this matter would be most apriciated, and you would prove yourself to be among the internet surfing gods. Thanks for your help sorry if I rambled on a bit, I tend to do that 🙂

Are you looking for AGP or PCI-e?

You can find the NON-PLATINUM PCI-e version of the X800 XT at Super PC Mart for $599.00 in stock. This is the HIS (Hightech Information Systems) version of the ("Made by ATI") X800 XT non-PE. The cards are ATI-manufactured cards with the Arctic Cooling ATI 4 Cooler installed.

Super PC MArt is sold out of the AGP PE and AGP non-PEs' just like everyone else seems to be. Heres a link to the website:

The canadian site does indeed have the card im looking for; unfortunatly it seems to be about 200
more than the standard price. does any one know whats going on, i mean how can so many companys be sold out, are they having some sort of major production problem?
