Internet noobs. How I miss them.

My parents let me have my own phone line in early 96 just for Internet access. I was the coolest nerd in high school. A lot of the "non-nerds" really didn't understand the reason for it. Those same people now post pictures and updates of their boring family online and use abbreviated internet speak. At least now I can see just how lame these people actually turned out to be.
 
I remember taking 30 mins to DL a nude pic. My friends would do the same thing and we would all copy them on to floppy's and exchange them because it took so damn long haha
 
I remember this conversation in the early 90's"

Girlfriend: "What are you doing?"
Me: "I'm chatting with someone in another state through this online service."
Girlfriend: "That is SO WEIRD! What a nerd! Is there something wrong with you?"
Me: "This is how people will communicate in the future."
Girlfriend: "Yeah, I can see grandma typing nerd stuff to geek friends in Florida."

Nerds are just people that do mainstream stuff 10 years early 😛
