You would worry if it had the possibility to affect your job, relationships etc... I've said some dumb shit when I was a teen that I would NEVER say today.

No I wouldn't. I don't care what others think. Even if it is my job. It is worth losing my job over I am not going to stop myself from saying what I really feel.

At my last job (which I hated) my boss and I were having a talk. At the end he suddenly says to me "be careful what you put on Facebook because anybody can read that."

I was aghast. Not that I had posted something negative about my job on there, which I hadn't, but that someone at work had taken the time to find me then make a false accusation about me.

How do you know he wasn't just giving you advice?

There we go Pippy perfect example of how someone thinks that not any random person out there can find exactly where and what you post everywhere. In this case it was facebook but it doesn't have to be. Think some people never in their mind put together that someone would actually take the time to do this. I have news for you people do this all the time. For different reasons of course. Some for fun, some for business, and others who knows. If you got a computer you can easily do it. Doesn't take a rocket scientist. Just the time and motivation.

Maybe, but he and I didn't exactly get along.

My guess would be that someone decided to say something untrue to him thinking he wouldn't bother to verify.

Doesn't matter, I got laid off a month later and was so stoked.

How is it so scary? It really depends on what you do with it. I take advance of it and use it for my own fun. Like I said once it is digital it is there forever. Surprised people do not realize this. Are you all just noticing this now ? lol
So how's that job at Google going?
