Internet monitoring software that works with AVG free?

I need to install some kinda of monitoring software (preferrably free) on a laptop.in the house. Any recommendations? I need it to work with AVG Free antivirus as well

What do you want to monitor? Why are you stuck with AVG? Not sure what the end game is here.
