internet/file sharing question.

Ok I have a server acting as a router, with 3 computers doing NAT internet sharing. All of my computers can connect to each other when I click on my computer and type in \\x.x.x.x for the IP, but none of my computers can connect to the server. I'm not sure what the problem is, when I go and look for computers on the network, it sees the server computer, but I can't connect to it. I think the problem is with rights, priviledges, shares and access but i'm not sure what the deal is! The server can also connect to all the computers, but nothing can connect to the server.

What's the deal? I want to share folders and stuff on the server but I can't get anything to connect to it, allthough we go through the server for internet.

A little more info would be nice.

IE what os is the server. The other computers?

It sounds like you have a problem with the server not accepting incomming connections though it answer ICMP.

Do you have Zone Alarm on? I have seen this cause problems depending on the setting.

Sorry, but I really can;t help you without more info and just guessing but I think that is why you have recieved no replies.

Ack, it was zone alarm all along!

I set network security to low so I assumed that I would be able to connect to it, but I changed the properties to allow incoming from that one nic and it works now.

Thanks!
