Internet Explorer's Favorite - Link Problem

Hi,

I'm running Win2k Pro and using IE 5.5 as my web browser.

1) Whenever I open IE, it makes a folder "Link" in the favorite as default. Is there a way to hide that folder? It is empty. I do not use the link feature.

2) ICQ put creates a folder call "From ICQ" in IE's Favorite upon startup. Is there a way to stop ICQ from doing this?

Thanks

Zir

If you delete these folders and they reappear, is it just W2k autorepairing itself? If it is, just use the 'Organize Favorites' option under Tools in IE 5.5 and move both folders into another rarely used one. They will simply be out of sight but not deleted. That should prevent them from reappearing in the default location.

At least that is how I would do it in W98.

Dunno anything about ICQ. Sorry. 🙁

I've tried every other method. I tried deleting those links many times. They kept coming back. I thought about changing the proporties, but wasnt sure. Someone brought up the method of making the properties of those files hidden. The method works flawlessly.
