Internet Explorer Virus?

This may not be the correct forum for my problem, but here goes. I was cruising one of my favorite free sites when I clicked on a link that spawned endless pop-ups. Many Alt-f4's later, I closed all the pop-ups and thought everything was back to normal. Well, upon further inspection, I found that my home page has been changed and I can no longer delete my cache\cookies. When I go to the properties menu, I only see Privacy, Content, and Connections. The other tabs are nowhere to be found. I ran Spybot. I downloaded and ran Ad-aware. Still no change. Any Suggestions?
