A friend using WinXp on a new machine, Internet Explorer 6 is not able to use the Send a Page or Send a link function.
When she clicks on either of these functions a WINDOWS MESSAGING SETUP WIZARD
window opens which directs her to "Select the information service(s) that you
want to use with Windows Messaging."
When she clicks on "Manually configure information services" and goes to NEXT,
she is asked to enter a profile name. Doesn't matter what is typed -- when she clicks NEXT, the error message is, "This profile name is not valid. Select another profile
name."
When the manual configuration is CANCEL , she is asked whether she really wants to
do that or not and, when she chooses "YES," a WINDOWS MESSAGING screen
advises that "No profiles have been created. To create a new profile, use the Mail icon in the Control Panel."
There is no Mail icon in the control panel for Windows XP, that we can find.
Anybody have a solution or have seen this problem before?
