hi,

My old room mate got his default hoempage st to soem kind of porn site. It is usually the msn site. What can he do to delete this.

Note, is not as simple as click "use current." That he can change but the default is still the porn site. Please help my foolish friend

Go to the "Tools" menu, and then select "Internet Options". On the first tab, near the top, there is a text box where you can type in the URL you would like to use as your default home page.

Most likly he has been hijacked by a semi-malicious cookie, if he has IE6, then just have him delete all his temporary internet files as well as his cookies, then click Use Default instead of Use Current. If he has an older version of IE, have him delete the temporary internet files and then click on the Settings button next to it and then click on View Files, have him highlight and delete everything in the folder, then click Use Default back on the main tab of the IE properties.

Good luck!
