Internet Explorer Problem

I posted this same question in General Hardware but it's been unsuccessful so far, i figure maybe some tech support people who hang in here might know...
-----------
This is a bizaare problem and it's only affecting Internet Explorer 5.5 sp1, not Netscape.

The problem is with forms on any site. For example, if I go to Google.com and type something in then press Search, that Internet Explorer window locks up for 15-30 seconds and then it goes through. This also applies on forms like in the forums here. After I type something in the Subject form field then click in the form field where I'm typing right now, this window locks up for 15-30 seconds before I can type. The same thing will happen when I press the "Post Thread" button.

This is non-existant with Netscape.

I've already tried re-installing IE5.5, I set my CPU back to default speed, scanned for viruses, and everything I could think of...

any ideas? I'm about to go insane

thanks in advance

you can read the original thread here to see what i've tried

thanks

if it is annoying you the best thing to do would be to go back to IE5...ive heard and seen ie5.5 have a lot of errors...

sorry...about the different posts...also try updating..i think they have one for your problem too..the "partial pade loading fix"

it's possible to revert back to 5.01 from 5.5?

it's weird that this problem just sprung up out of nowhere. no new software installed, it just started. system completely stable otherwise.

also, it's JUST FORMS that give me the problem. some people seem to think it's my internet connection.
