Internet Explorer and turning off a feature?

Im getting get pissed, by mistake when it asked me to turn on that feature to keep a record of all the pages you searched when using a search engine i clicked yes. I hate this featur and and i want it off! I think i found it under "tools" "manage add-ons" And i think its the seach assist. I disabled it but it still does it when i use search engines! How i get it off!? anyone know? Dont wanna format again : )
This is my personal computer so its not that i wanna hide things, i just dont like it.
