I am having an unusual problem with internet explorer. I first knew there was a problem when I would go into my favorites folder and into the folder that has all my forums listed. It wouldn't show the little icons that each forum has. Every once in a while it would, but seldom. firefox does show them.

Then, while in IE is clicked on a link in a forum and I went to the page and saw the header at the top, but the article that he wanted you to see didn't load. In firefox it did fine. Do I not have something set right in IE? thanks

ps, I have java in IE
 
For your first issue, IE's support of favorite icons is sketchy at best. In general, it should set a favorite icon when you add a site to your favorites. If you clear out your Temporary Internet Files, however, the icon will disappear. The only way to restore it is to rebookmark the site.

Firefox will display the icon by simply visiting the site. It also preserves icons for bookmarks even after clearing out the cache.
