I type pretty fast and I really prefer using the keyboard for operating my computer.. I alt-tab and shift-alt-tab like nobody's business, tab and shift-tab between form fields and menu buttoms, and IE is no exception.

I use F5 to refresh like exclusively, rarely do I hit the refresh button. I love hitting the backspace key to go back, and hitting F6 to highlight the location bar so I can type something else in.

what I really want is a key for "forward". there is one for back, but is there one for forward that I dont know of? any way to customize the shortcuts somewhere, that would be even better? or perhaps a shareware or freeware program I can download that will let me make custom ones?

Use ALT + left or right arrow keys to move back and forward thru pages. Try hitting F11 to make the most of your screen size.

Other shortcuts, FYI:

Stop: Esc (pretty obvious one)
Home: ALT + Home button
Search: CTRL+E
Favorites: CTRL+I
History: CTRL+H

IntelliMouse wheel tricks:
CTRL+scroll wheel: Resize font sizes
Shift+scroll wheel: Back/Forward

I don't use these any more, since I got my IntelliMouse Explorer. :)

I have the intellimouse optical, the smaller version of the explorer, with the side buttons for forward/back, but often I don't use the mouse, its quicker to stay at the keyboard usually.

thanks for the shortcuts.. i use esc and f5 and f6 ALL the time.. the alt-left/right is a handy one now.

people are weirded out watching me work on my computer.. always using Win-D to drop everything up and down, alt-tabbing and shift-alt-tabbing like there's no tomorrow. I don't think I've clicked on a button on the taskbar to switch to that app in months.. only use alt-tab

LOL. Same with me. They look at me funny because I don't even touch the mouse when I usually do something. Mouse is too slow. :)
