Internet Connection Troubles

As of Friday, everything was cool. Friday night however I went to a LAN party and reconfigured my NIC LAN connection to work on my buddy's LAN. All I did was set the TCP/IP connection to automatically get an IP address. Everything was great from his place. LAN was great and I could get to the internet through his router.

Now that I'm home, I can connect to the internet and do everything normally - except gaming. Games will not find any on-line servers and All-Seeing eye will not find anything online either.

I do not run a home network, so I go straight from my NIC to my DSL modem and out. I have changed my settings on the LAN connection to a dummy IP and gateway, but that hasn't helped. Neither has leaving it set to Auto Select.

I'm really stumped good. Does anyone have any ideas on what I can try? If I disable the 'Local Area Connection' it seems to diable my NIC entirely, as it will kill my DSL connection.

Please help!!!

Hmm, you're on WinXP Pro, right? Try doing a system restore to a few days ago (start ==> programs ==> accessories ==> system tools ==> system restore) and see if that works.
