I just got satelite hooked up.. to 3 computers.. the computer that has the modem hooked up to gets around 300k when downloading.. but on any other computer that isn't the host, it gets like 8-10k per second.. wea re using internet connection sharing.. any idea why it is doing this

we have a 19port hub.
 
is that xp rig a via based chipset? tried the latest 4 in 1's? do you have the latest drivers for the network adapters, how far is your cabling going?
 
I'm assuming you bought a thing of cat5 right? and it probably isn't anywhere near 100 meters. so are there any kniks in the cord, have you checked for nics in the cable?
