Hello I have just recently gotten broadband from a wireless company in the area. It came with a modem that i plugged into my switch that my network uses. Before the broadband I had been sharing the internet with my network using internet connection sharing and 1 computer connected to the internet.
My current predicament is as follows. With the modem plugged into my switch, all the computers on my network obtain a public IP from my ISP. I don't want this to happen. My ISP limits me to 3 computers connected at the same time, and i have more than 3 computers in my lan. How come i no longer get a network ip address for the network computers? Ideally i would like to have the have it work like it did before where i only have 1 public ip address and this is shared with all computers.
If you have any information of the topic, then please share.
thanks
