I have windows 95 on my labtop and I CANNOT change it to win98 or ME.....

I want to enable internet connection sharing on that computer and have it ACT as the SERVER. Which program will do this EXACTLY like the internet connection sharing of win98/me?? i've tried wingate and some others but they don't work the same. only the win98 NAT lets me play counterstrike on both computers on the same server. wingate doesnt' even work for some reason for counterstrike.... anyone know of a internet connection sharing software that perhaps i ONLY have to set up on the server side? and the client side can be set up for either win98's NAT or a 3rd party one?

Try Sygate
I've used it before and it's pretty good. I'd say it's better than ICS...ANYTHING is better than ICS. It does NAT (they all do) and comes with configurations for many different programs and games. It allows much better control over the connection than ICS. Let us know what you end up using.

Yeah, go with Sygate... you only need to install the program on the server side (unlike most other 3rd party ICS programs), and all you need to do on the client PCs is set the gateway to the IP of the server...

Anything is better then ICS? Matter of opinion I guess. Ok a router is better, Linux is better, but Sygate? Come on. Now in Troll's case yes Sygate would be the best way to go as win95 doesn't have built in ICS. Sygate is a nice piece of software, but as far as Sygate being better then Windows ICS, I don't see how.

Is Sygate capable of running on NT4?

-I am looking around their site now... but have not come accross anything yet.
