Internet Connection Pop-Up....

For some reason, my computer will pop-up and ask to be connected to the internet every 30 minutes or so. In Internet Options, I have "Never Dial A Connection" selected to prevent this from popping up, but it does it anyway. This is very annoying because if I am in the middle of a game or something, it boots me to the desktop and causes my game to lock and abort. Please help! I use WinXP Home Edition.

XP is set up to go onto the internet and check for updates for your pc automatically, in Pro you right click on my comp, and click the tab "automatic updates", and there's where it gives you the option to turn it off. I'm not sure if you have the same option in the home version...

I can also turn on/off that feature as well. It has been turned off, but I still get the pop-up to dial-in to the net. Any other ideas?
