Hey Guys,
My I recently formatted a extensa 900cdt laptop. So I installed windows 98... Then while searching for new hardware it froze... So I took out the Cd-Rom Drive since it was done using the cd. I restarted it, Went in without any problems. I clicked on my computer and there was a Removable Drive A. Even though I didnt have any drive in. So I shutdown the computer and put the cdrom back in and started it up. It then said "Internal STACK overflow change the stacks in your config.sys"
So I went into the config.sys and the only line in the config.sys was as follows
C:/windows/setver.exe
There are no stack settings i can change.
So Now I cant use my Cd-Rom on my laptop.
I was considering downgrading back to windows 95. But the windows 95 CD doesnt give me the option to boot from the cd, when i start the computer [even if i change the boot settings in CMOS].
So with that said I put in a Windows 98 CD and It gave me the option to boot from CD, SO i did and I ran it in dos. Then I took the CD put the windows 95 CD in and tryed running setup. That didnt work because It did not find the command.com file [The files that allows you to run the cdrom that the windows 98 setup cd startsup.]
So with that said do any of you have any ideas?
