Internal or external card reader?

Hi, I desire to read SDHC and microSD cards on my computer, from your experience in terms of usability and compatibility, do you recommend internal (3.5" bay) or external readers? I imagine both would be USB. Also if a brand has treated you well, please mention it - none of the manufacturers seem to be super big names.

Thanks.

Um...whichever you prefer? No difference really, both connect to USB (either external USB plug or internal USB header) so that's the limiting speed for transfers. Just make sure you get a model that either specifies SDHC compatibility or that has feedback saying those cards work fine with it.
