Internal HDD troubleshooting...

I just installed a new Samsung spinpoint 750gb hdd in my desktop as a backup drive.

It booted just fine, but the drive never shows up in My Computer.

I looked through device manager and it shows up there and says that it is working properly...

I even checked to see if on the off chance there was a problem with the driver but it seems to be fine.

Any ideas?

Thanks

did you assign it a letter?

depending on your flavor of windows, sometimes the drive letter needs to be manually assigned in device manager.

I dont think i have to assign a letter. Im running xp sp2 and i dont see an option in device manager to assign a letter. this is really weird
