Internal Firewire Connection....

Yesterday I purchased an Antec 835II, which features front USB/Firewire. Both come with internal connectors, the type that you connect to the motherboard. Unfortunetly my old motherboard doesnt have firewire connectors onboard. So basically what Im wondering about is if theres a PCI card that has the these connectors on it. From searching around all I could seem to find was 3+1 firewire cards that have 3 external and 1 internal, however it was a normal 6 pin connection. Id really like to get the thing connected as I'm constantly using my Audigy firewire port in the back for my SonyDVC/Apple Ipod.
Thanks in advance for any help.

I haven't seen any cards with the bare pins. The Antec (or Chieftec) design seems to have the ports intended primarily for motherboards with the plain pin-out connectors, so you'd connect the front port rather than rear ports with a slot mounted connector. I don't know why the card makers assume you're going to have an internal firewire connector rather than designing them to match what anybody would get on a motherboard.

You could get a cheap firewire cable and just cut it in half, and splice the wires together to the ones from the case.
