Internal DSL modem with shared connection?

Pardon me if this is a re-post but I couldn't find a similar topic.

I'm a newbie networker so here goes...

At work we have an external Cisco 675 DSL Router that runs into a Lyncsys Router and from there we share internet via DHCP.

At home I want to do the same thing except I have an internal dsl modem. So in other words, can I somehow share my internet connection with using an internal modem via the Lyncsys router?

If you have an internal DSL modem the only way to network that connection will be to run some type of proxy software on the "host" computer. Depending on which OS you use alot of people use Internet Connection sharing that come with windows. (98se, WinMe and win 2k) The windows 2000 and ME version works better. Also there is proxy from www.analogx.com that is free but not the easiest to set up unless your comfortable with IP addresses and netowrking. The easiest to set up and run in winproxy from www.winproxy.com But this is a retail product and cost 69.95 but there is a 30 days free trial. It works well but takes alot of system resourses. The only other option would be get an external ethernet modem and router but that will cost 200+ to do. Good Luck.
