Internal Card Readers

I have an internal card reader in my custom built desktop. The problem is that when I put my SD card in it, it sticks out leaving 50% of the card outside of the computer. This is not a huge problem, but it would be really easy for the card to get hit and break off. Also, my case(an Antec 3000B) has a door that swings shut over the card reader, CD drive, floppy drive, on/off, and power switch. If I have a memory card in the card reader the door does not shut.

Has anyone else encountered this issue? I suppose I could open my case and remount the cad reader 5mm deeper. Do other card readers allow one to stick the card further into the slot?

1. Yes, you could simply remount the reader.
2. "Other card readers"?
Well, that depends... Which one are YOU using? 😛

It's an internal 3.5" USB card reader (reads four types of cards) and has a USB port on it. It might as well be generic. It's one of those $12 ones.
