hey thanks for a quick responseIs this coming through the speakers or from within the case itself?
Is this a built system?
Sometimes if I don't have the sides on cases tightly enough they will do this.
I had a system with a fan that would do this at certain speeds (it was a DFI board with some nice software for fan speed control). If you think it's a fan stop each one at a time and see who the culprit is.
If it's coming through the speaks, use some compressed air to dust off the audio connection, and the board/sound card itself while you're at it.
yes sort of but its intermittent sounds like a bee but i checked no bee'sOK, does the buzzing ever change pitch?
SSD should not be making any, but a mechanical drive could. Is there a disc in the CD/DVD drive?
If it's not coming from the case, should be pretty easy to diagnose: just start unplugging things till the sound goes away.
Yeah when my hand is near it stop most of the time. i also noticed last night that when i press against the wire leading to ssd drive it also stops. want to record this because it kind of difficult to explainDoes it feel as if something is not making contact or about to short out? He said it sometimes stops when he touches the case, or even if his hand is near it.
Could it be a ram stick is going?
