YES it will, but not all phones some will.

Best thing to do when u have a 2.g phone and u notice ur getting disconnected wirelessly when its used, try changing the channel of it.
 
Ahh, thank you. I 've noticed that most of the router I've been looking at are 2.4 GHz. Is this the frequency they all operate at or just a very common one?
 
Its common to have interference with 2.4 Ghz gear. Thankfully 802.11 b/g wireless has this covered and you can change the channel so that there is no interferrence with other 2.4 stuff.
