I got this in an email today and I thought that it was rather interesting. It puts a lot of things about the war into perspective.

what does that mean?
The dennis miller thing was funny, but the second part was pretty interesting, to learn a little more about how much these guys get paid that are over there right now defending us.

The first part was the same tired stuff that's been said 1,000 times in the past couple months on the forums, hardly new or interesting. Plus, it was in all caps. The second part was about pay, not war.

It's still about war.... use that little thing in your head you try to call a brain and figure out how it could be interesting when it comes to the war

The first article is jingosims
I can find lots like it on the other side
In the second article the difference is his education was paid for the the military, his room , his board and they expect something in return for training him.
A discount on wages, when his enlistment comes up they sweeten the deal. So I don't buy his reasoning , he chose to go into the military he wasn't drafted.

It was without a harmonica when I heard it but hey...

Good post, summarises the main issues well, I feel.

Repost, and most certainly not Dennis Miller, and stupid nonetheless. Most are just real quotes rephrased (IE the duck hunting quote)...next!
