the list of states does not matter. Look at the stats I first posted in this thread. It proves the richer you are, the more you vote republican. Plain and Simple. The richer you are, the more likely you are to be educated. They have a positive corrolation. You get educated more, you make more money. You make a lot of money? You're probably educated well.
if this list doesn't matter why does yours?
[homer]people can use statistics to prove anything, 14% of all people know that[/homer]
My father has a doctorate, and is retired and very affluent and wealthy, and is a die-hard liberal Democrat. Pro-tax, pro-choice, pro-gay marriage, Unitarian, the works.Originally posted by: DonVito
You're inferring a correlation that doesn't exist. There is no statistically significant correlation between education level and voting philosophy. I suggest you read the literature on this, rather than cobbling together voting patterns in a single election.Originally posted by: ntdz

FWIW, as I recall, you're a teenager with something shy of a high school degree (though I don't doubt you'll go on to achieve more academically), and you are obviously a Republican. I have a doctorate, and I'm a Democrat. I know at least 20 Democrats with Master's degrees or doctorates, and I'm quite sure they are matched by a similar number of Republicans.

because its just using states income levels and who they went for. This is using PEOPLE's direct income levels and who they voted for.

Its highly contentious that these lists or statistics "prove" anything. You yourself admitted "getting an education doesnt make you a success" contradicting your current arguement.

what am i contradicting? I'm arguing income levels, not education levels...

Intuitively that data makes NO sense. How could an entire state average an IQ of 85, which is a full SD below average. Or an entire state with an average IQ of 113. An entire state? Did CT and NJ erect barriers that electrocute stupid people attempting to enter and reside in their states?

No surprise there. No one with an ounce of intellect could have taken Kerry seriously. A twenty year empy suit in the Senate.Originally posted by: GTaudiophile
That also tells me that the uneducated voted for Kerry more so than for Bush.

Percisely. Liberals have this stupid idea in their head that they are more educated than conservatives. I guess thats why conservatives make way more money than them.
dunno, but who cares anyway??? people aren't so smart to begin with, they think being able to read and write makes them all really smart, lol.....Even a monkey can be taugh to read and write just as well given some time, it's IQ will remain low however...intelligent is a gift not earned through reading, writing. The end.Originally posted by: SludgeFactory

no it's not, a lot of states are in different order in the revised list.Originally posted by: glugglug
Those IQ numbers are exaggerated, but the trend is correct.

getting an education doesnt make you a success. Making money is being successful (besides happiness, family, etc). I know plenty of people with college degrees that mow people's lawns or are waiters. Besides, thats pretty even between the two.
You're still in high school right? You know there are a lot of people (not me) who have very high level of education but dont make a lot of money, often by choice, because its not what they want to do. Teachers are a good example. You can also be very uneducated and make a lot of money (show business, pro sports)
still in high school? try again. It's true, there are some very noble professions that don't make that much money. Business people, in my opinion, are the backbone of our society and our country. They are the ones making the money, employing people and making this economy grow. What good is it to educate someone if there won't be a job for them?

Okay, i don't care if you are a Democrat or Republican, but that is one of the most narrowminded comments I have ever seen. I guess your idea of going to college is to get a job? Right? And Highschool is supposed to prepare us soley for college..
Horace Man...where are you and the ideals you initially preached?
Originally posted by: ntdz
yeah, thats the point of college. To get a better job. Anyone who says otherwise is nieve.

Hold on........yes, I just reread what you wrote. You really did say "...the other corporate devils who are educated enough to know how to keep uneducated people "in their place" by limiting their income and ability to educate their children." Unbelievable!
I didn't realize you were a victim of life's circumstances. Your position is the classic liberal stance of entitlement: I want, and the government owes me.whats unbelievable? Do you realize that in california the education has had a HUGE budget cut. Who suffered for it? Not the UC's, but of course the cal states and the community colleges. our tuition has gone up nearly 30% at the cal states. Now, who goes to these universities? Hmm, lets see, socially disadvantaged people. People who cant afford the ridiculously high tuition of UC's. Sure does seem like thats making it more difficult for the poor to get educated.
