Had a buddy of mine say this morning: "If carbon monoxide were something we could see we would have ditched gas cars 40 years ago." I didn't think that made much sense until I thought of carbon monoxide actually being a smoke color and then thought about the traffic that I sit in.

What do you guys think?

:sun:

Yeah, it would be hard to get through traffic with a smoke screen miles wide in front of you. So your friend does have a point, zero visibility would make us come up with something else.

and if farts were something we could see everyone would be running around with filters strapped to their asses

Horse manure is something you can see and it has a non-visible component as well and given the choice I will take the carbon monoxide over what would be produced if we were still horse based.

1. It makes sense.
2. Your friend is probably thinking of carbon dioxide.
3. I wish your friend could see the the gasses that his face emits.
4. Punch your friend in the face for polluting your brain.

The person who invents an odor trapping fart guard will be a king among kings.

That's me, bend over and I'll install it

England used so much coal during the 18th and 19th centuries that moths changed colors to black to match the soot stains on the trees. I think people will put up with a lot when you consider the necessity of cars and buses in our society. I've been to cities where you NEVER see a blue sky from the pollution and the place is in almost perpetual fog.
