interesting report on the 2004 RNC and protesters

Emmanuel Goldstein (Eric Corley) is a sensationalist whiner who time after time puts himselves in these situations so he can bitch about "the man" keeping him down. I know the guy personally. Some people may like what he does but I think he's full of sh*t.

Oh, i dunno. Maybe it was the caption for a picture of a holding area:

Another view of the same basic area. Note the condition of the floor. If you made the mistake of sitting on the ground with your palms facing down, they would be black when you stood up.

But in all, it was his general tone. To him, there were no valid reasons for the protesters being confined to certain areas nor were any arrests valid.

You would never know ANY reason by reading his accounts, now would you?

there wasnt a reason. the police roped off a block and arrested everyone on it. Many just happened to be on the street and were arrested.

Yep. There are plenty of other reports saying the same thing. Sounds like some of New York's finest are a disgrace to their badge. It's yet another example of the Bush administration's assault on the First Amendment.

Yeah, didn't you get the memo? Bush has send word out that he'll personally fire anyone who doesn't trample "free-speech".

Didn't I read someplace that there are more police in New York then soldiers in Afganistan?
