im not going to do it, but just thought it was intriguing how cc companies are trying to lure you in to their scheme.

i guess its not bad... considering they'd probably charge you about ~$400 of interest in a year for a free laptop

quick specs on laptop (may be upgraded to higher model):

hp celeron 2.2ghz
256mb ram
30gb hd
cdrw
14.1
7.39 lbs
2 x usb 2.0 ports

for an extra $69 you can get a dvd combo drive

Ok, I'm a bit stupid tonight; what's the math to figure out how much interest you'd have to pay if you maintianed an exact $3500 balance for the 12 months?

I remember that also. I tried to find the thread on FW but I'm not sure which forum it's in or what to search for.

Several people received their laptops, after you pay interest I think it worked out to $550 or so interest for 1 year on $5k?

at a rough 10% APR (annual percentage rate) on $3500 balance, it would come out to roughly $350 (just in interest) I'm assuming you have to make the minimum monthly payments to avoid late fees, which means you would pay more than the $350 in interest keeping your balance at $3500.
