Interesting question...how to take an item out of the taskbar?

I run iTunes all the time and it has a icon in the sys tray but since i have it on all the time i was wondering, is there any wat i can take it out of the taskbay bc it just wastes space there? There is no option for it as far as i know but maybe youguys know of some other way.

No built in way, there are 3rd party apps that will do this (or move it to the notification area)

You can simply drag n' drop items on the dock (Apple name for Taskbar). You don't like the program, drag it to the Recycle Bin. I tested this on OS 10.2.

Go into ITunes-->Edit-->Preferences-->Advanced, untick the box 'Show icon in System Tray'.

Most apps should have something like this................
