How much would thing be if it includes both a pricey BluRay drive and a UMD drive? I'm not saying either are terribly expensive, but console makers cut corners everywhere just to shave a few $s off the retail price.

I would agree this is fake, but well done.

I dont' see any way to put a Blu-Ray disk in it, yet they have a huge port for UMD? Whatever. I don't see the PS3 being able to use UMD's at all, those games are designed for such a tiny screen. If there was file transfer, it would be USB and/or memory stick.

Look above the memory slot and below the lights. That's where it would go if the unit looked like this.

Looks ugly to me. BTW what is UMD?
If I had one guess I would say Universal Media Disk - which could be used in an array of Sony products including televisions, projectors and their PSP.

UGLY...

Just... UGLY

They need to make it much flatter while still maintaining some portablity and it can fit be stacked on the VCR/CD/DVD Players

I like how you guys think you're exposing something when it's OBVIOUS that it is a computer render.

Yea, it is obvious its a render. If Sony really did release it, it would STILL be a render, because I somehow doubt they have units built already.

I'd also agree its a fake render. They prolly used a HDRI image for reflections.

They did, look at the reflection, its a this massive room with glass ceilings, i'm not sure but i think i may have even seen that hdri texture before.

Edit: Doesnt mean the doc isnt real though, just means its a render. I would think they dont actually have it made like that yet anyway.
