Interesting phone system "phreak"

So I'm talking to one of the telecom guys, and we're reminiscing on funny phone / switch stories. Anyways, he tells me about a really old exploit that is still used to this day, and the phreakers get away with it all the time.

1. Call large corporation Blah Corp
2. Get young front desk girl who's only been there for 3 weeks
3. Tell them you are with Blah Corp so-and-so division, and you must have got to the wrong number
4. Ask front desk girl to transfer you to the messaging system at extension 91xxx
5. When you hear the click, dial your number and enjoy. (hint, you just got transfered to 9 outside line, then 1 + area code)

so many people have LD included these days, i don't see this being done often

and it is probably free for the corp. as well
