This card came out a few weeks ago, and I thought it looked like an interesting take on the HD7870. Somehow Diamond has figured out a way to ship the HD7870 on a HD7850 board, right down to the single PCIe power connector. It looks identical to the Diamond HD7850: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814103229
The HD7870 was spec'd at a 190w TDP, so Diamond has found a way to get around that. Apparently, according to one Newegg user, this card is BIOS locked at stock speeds.
It's also interesting because it's by far the shortest HD7870, and in fact shorter than many HD7850 models, so people looking to fit as much power into a small case as possible have their card - other than the Zotac GTX660Ti, this is the shortest card available in this power class, as well as the most powerful card you can buy with a single PCIe power connector.
So what do people think - fair for Diamond to sell an HD7870 with such compact dimensions and power needs when it cannot be overclocked??? In my opinion, although it's already among the least expensive HD7870 models available, it should be discounted further - maybe down to $190 or so.
